The scope of services provided will be detailed in the agreement between you and Oxford FL Movers upon booking. Any additional services requested outside the original agreement may incur additional charges.

3. Booking and Payment

By booking our services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information during the booking process, including your name, address, contact details, and payment information. Payments for moving services are due in full before or upon the completion of the move, depending on the agreed-upon terms. Payment methods accepted include credit/debit cards and other electronic payment methods as outlined on our website or discussed with our customer service team.

Deposit: A deposit may be required to secure your booking, which will be deducted from the total moving charges. The deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing.

Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your booking, you must provide notice at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled moving date. Cancellations made within less than 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.

4. Pricing and Charges

Oxford FL Movers offers competitive pricing for our moving services, and we strive to provide fair and transparent estimates. However, the final price may vary depending on factors such as the size of the move, additional services required, or unforeseen circumstances during the move.

All charges for services are calculated based on the type of move, distance, the time taken, and any additional services requested. Our movers will provide an estimated cost prior to the move and inform you of any changes to the price before performing additional services.

Additional Fees may apply in certain cases, such as:

  • Long carry charges if the distance between the parking area and your property is substantial.
  • Stairs fees if the property requires navigating multiple floors without an elevator.
  • Charges for storing items in our storage facilities.
  • Packing material costs, if applicable.

5. Liability and Damages

Oxford FL Movers will take all reasonable precautions to protect your items during the moving process. However, we cannot be held responsible for damages to items that were not properly packed by our team or packed using inadequate materials.

  • Liability for Loss or Damage: Our liability for loss or damage to your belongings is limited to the terms outlined in the moving contract, which may include valuation options based on the level of coverage you select at the time of booking.

  • Exclusions: We are not responsible for damage to fragile items, such as glass, porcelain, or items that are not properly packed. It is your responsibility to inform us about any delicate items and take out adequate insurance coverage if necessary.

6. Insurance and Coverage

Oxford FL Movers provides a basic level of insurance coverage for items moved. However, you have the option to purchase additional insurance coverage for extra protection during your move. This coverage must be arranged and paid for in advance. Please discuss insurance options with our customer service team before the move.

  • Standard Coverage: Covers a limited value per pound of an item, which may not cover the full cost of repairs or replacement.
  • Full Value Protection: A more comprehensive option to protect the full value of your belongings.

We recommend that you review your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy for coverage related to your move and adjust your policy as necessary.

7. Customer Responsibilities

As the customer, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the move, including details about items being moved, special handling instructions, and any restrictions or requirements at the pick-up and drop-off locations.
  • Ensure that all items being moved are properly packed or let us know if you would like us to pack them for you.
  • Be present during the move to oversee the process, sign necessary documents, and provide any required assistance.
  • Remove any obstructions at the pick-up and delivery locations to facilitate a smooth moving process.

8. Prohibited Items

Oxford FL Movers reserves the right to refuse to move any items that are illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by law. These items include, but are not limited to:

  • Flammable materials (gasoline, propane, etc.)
  • Explosives (fireworks, ammunition, etc.)
  • Perishable food items
  • Live animals
  • Drugs, firearms, or any illegal items

If you have questions about the legality of specific items, please contact us before your move to clarify any concerns.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use personal information solely for the purpose of providing our services, processing payments, and communicating with you regarding your move. We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

10. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

In the event of a dispute, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through mediation or another dispute resolution process. Any claims or disputes will be governed by the laws of the state of Florida.
